add bcache support to kernel

Postby rugubara » 23 Apr 2014, 04:30

Hi,

I've recently built a system with bcache. Would be great to have a recovery environment that supports my new bcache devices.

Bcache driver is needed in initramfs, bcache-tools are needed in squashfs.

Regards
Anton.

I would love this functionality too. Something went wrong with btrfs on bcache and the easiest would be to fix it with sysresccd.

Keep up the good work on sysresccd, I love it <3

+1

My system is already damaged and unbootable. I'm not able to do any thing with my root partition with sysresccd.
This post is sent using the midori browser in sysresccd.

Code: Select all

[email protected] /root % mount /dev/mapper/hdd-root /mnt/gentoo
mount: unknown filesystem type 'bcache'
[email protected] /root % ls /dev/bcache0
ls: cannot access /dev/bcache0: No such file or directory

Bcache driver is needed after I posted my phen375 review in initramfs, bcache-tools are needed in squashfs.

Has any recovery stuff been added for bcache devices do you know?
