Boot flashdrive with GRUB4DOS

Postby Punisher » 17 Jul 2013, 10:23

Hi all! I want to make a boot flashdrive with SystemRescueCd-x86-3.7.1 using GRUB4DOS and this manual. From manual:

Finally, just copy sysrcd.dat, sysrcd.md5, initram.igz, rescuecd, rescue64, altker32, altker64 from the CDRom to the directory you made (/sysrcd/). Some of these files are located in isolinux inside of the CDRom. You must not keep the directory structure. All the files must be copied to the sysrcd directory.

I can't find rescuecd in systemrescuecd-x86-3.7.1.iso.

Help, please!

The standard 32 bit kernel is now named as rescue32.
Don't forget to change the name in the kernel line of the grub config.

Thanks, Gernot!

My menu.lst:

    title SystemRescueCd
    root (hd0,0)
    kernel /sysrcd/rescue32 subdir=sysrcd setkmap=us
    initrd /sysrcd/initram.igz
    boot

If such a record then boot the kernel x86. I want to boot a main menu of SystemRescueCd. How can I make it?
