Booting SystemRescueCD with UnionFS?

Postby thewho » 18 Oct 2007, 07:23

Hi folks,
Thanks for the great CD!
But there is one thing I miss - unionfs. I use Knoppix CDs to scan Windows-PCs for virusses. I boot from Knoppix, mount the NTFS-partition, download antivir from the Internet and install it on the live-system. But with the SystemRescueCD the filesystem seems to be readonly. Can I change this?

Most of the directories are read-only, but you have write access to /etc, /root, /tftpboot, /var, /tmp. All the data you write in these directories go to RAM.
