ExFat needs to be loaded on initrd

Postby ambiente1 » 29 Oct 2016, 16:01

This topic is related to viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5941

I was creating a bootable USB-stick while using FAT32 on Partition #1 (EFI) and ExFat on Partition #2 (Data, Backups, ...) and want to start the SystemRescueCd.iso which is located on Partition #2.

After SystemRescueCd.iso is booting up it fails, because it doesn't detect my ExFat-Partition, but Grub2 does before.

!! Cannot find device with /systemrescuecd-x86-4.8.3.iso
!! Running a mini shell (cannot complete boot process)
/ # blkid
/dev/sda1: UUID="XXXX-XXXX" TYPE="vfat"
/dev/sda2: UUID="XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX" TYPE="swap"
/dev/sdb1: UUID="XXXX-XXXX" TYPE="vfat"

As you can see sda3 (F2FS) and sdb2 (ExFat) is missing...

Please add ExFat support to initrd.
