There is already the initscript=service:action option that allows to:
*) start a service which is turned off by default
*) ignore a service which is turned on by default
Why do you need that new option ?

The initscript option does not work as expected(for this case), is parsed at the end of all init.d scripts so is have no effect on marking them not to start(since they are already started)
Plus it seems simpler to list as nostart=x,y,z

Admin,

Could you include the nostart patch? initscript is not working properly .. see previous reply.

I really need to get SR booting as fast as possible , for example in a VM where I do not need any network /lvm / dbus / etc / etc
