CDROM is locked when shutting down

Postby HJarausch » 01 Feb 2013, 09:02

If I don't option to cache everything my CDROM drive is locked.
Other rescue CDs issue a message to eject the CD just before rebooting.
Isn't this possible with SystemRescueCD, as well?

Thanks,
Helmut.

When I use the GRML64 rescue CD and say halt or reboot,
I get a message to remove the CD from /dev/sr0.
Only then the system shuts down completely.

Isn't that possible with SystemRescueCD ?

Thanks for looking into it,
Helmut.

Its a problem if you have no physical access to the PC and want to reboot.
