Changing colours in the CLI [solved]

Post by Pete44 » 17 Nov 2011, 22:13

Hello
Can anyone here please tell me how to change the text colour in the CLI?
I have a autorun script which I need to display text in red with black background.
Tried tput which does not work with 'tput setf 1' but gives no errors.
Also tried 'setterm -foreground red' and also did nothing.

Thank you.
Pete
