chntpw NOT FOUND [solved]

Postby dennix91 » 15 Sep 2015, 15:22

Hi guys,
I am trying to reset the admin password of admin user of windows xp.

System Rescue CD is working good: I ve been able to mount the windows partition and I got to the Windows/System32/config folder

The only problem I ve got is that I can't use the chntpw command.
It says : command not found.

I tryed the last version first then the 3.0 but the problem is still there.

Does anybody know the reason of that?

Thanks in advance for your help

It is a virtual floppy on CD.
Just boot it from the sysreccd boot menu.

Thanks, Gernot.
