Multiboot problem with sysresccd-custom extract

Postby TRG » 29 Aug 2014, 23:35

I'm attempting to following the instructions here: ... emRescueCd

I want to update some of the packages, like md5deep.

I have System Rescue CD 4.3.0 and some other live CDs installed on a multiboot flash drive using YUMI.

After booting into System Rescue CD, /livemnt/boot shows the root directory of the flash drive, which contains a directory, "multiboot", which contains subdirectories for other boot volumes including System Rescue CD. So the path to sysrcd.dat is /livement/boot/systemrescuecd-x86-4.3.0/sysrcd.dat .

When I run /usr/sbin/sysresccd-custom extract, I get an error: "File /livemnt/boot/sysrcd.dat was not found. All the original sysresccd files must be available in /livemnt/boot ."

Now what?

Some pathes are fix in the customize script.
Use a original CD image to start customizing.

You can sysresccd.dat unpack and repack manual.
Watch the used squashfs type/version.
