portmap removed?

Postby zamil » 18 Oct 2010, 18:44

In version 1.6.2, I did not found the portmap. Thus, I could not use nfs client in SystemRescue 1.6.2. Portmap program was removed?

NFS is working in 1.6.2 as sever and as client.
portmap runns on the server and accepts new connections.
On sysrcd rpcbind does this job
#> netstat -antp
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:111 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 2695/rpcbind

The rpcbind program did not started automatically. After I started manually rpcbind, I could run "mount" as a NFS client, but "showmount" did not work. Here history:

edit /etc/exports and use this to start all the nfs stuff:
/etc/init.d/nfs start
