Imaging and backup full HDD

Postby markmarques » 18 Aug 2016, 08:16

In the past years I was using "partimage" as a HDD full backup / imaging tool but it seems is not being actively developed ...

Despite somer flaws it always worked well but nowadays with several new filesystems in a single HDD how can I make a full HDD image ?

So in order to avoid using full "dd image" , "ddrescue" or using "Clonezilla live CD" what are my options ?

I tried fsarchiver I gave several problems with ntfs filesystem...
I tried ntfsclone with some degree of sucess ...

So nowadays it seem that I need to check beforehand which filesystem is present and then select a specific tool ?!?
Is there any other "single" tool that I am missing present in System RescueCD that I can use to execute such task ?

Thanks in advance
