I have a client computer (business computer, it's a newsagent so it's pretty urgent) that won't read the disk. All it says is PBR 2 - A disk error occurred.' It says the drive is invalid when I try chkdsk /r, and I am using System Rwscue CD 1.5.1 to try and back up his current work. It gets as far as attempting to mount the disk but then it just gets stuck (how long should I wait?). The data is backed up up to a date, but not the most current work!
Seagate diagnostics reports there are 60 errors on the disk.
System Rescue CD can always, up until now, see the most damaged Windows disks.
Is there something I can do to get Linux to mount the disk?
