Problems with backstore feature

Post by Xel.Ra » 20 Aug 2009, 23:47

Hi,

can it be that backstore actually merges files instead of replacing them? E.g. I edited /etc/conf.d/net to my needs. But after a reboot I get a merge of the default /etc/conf.d/net and the one created by me. That kinda sucks because it makes backstoring useless.

Is there a hidden option to switch that merging off and set that the backstored file has precedence over the default one?

Regards

Well I have identified that this only applies to /etc/conf.d/net.

How can I stop that it writes in my /etc/conf.d/net at boot?
