[xorg] auto configuration xorg.conf depending on xdriver

Post by cassyb » 24 Sep 2013, 00:09

I use Archlinux on usb3 external harddrive and I would like the same mechanism grub/xorg.conf of SystemRescueCD to have a dynamic xorg.conf
I use syslinux instead of grub, I have a menu:
Archlinux - Intel
Archlinux - Vesa
By default, I configure Arch for Intel, it works well...
I have a specific xorg configuration file for intel

Code: Select all

cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf
Section "Device"
Identifier "intel Graphics"
Driver "intel"
Option "AccelMethod" "sna"
Option "TearFree" "true"
In syslinux menu, I put kernel parameters: xdriver=vesa nomodeset
It works if I comment lines above because this file is loaded when I use xdriver=vesa.
I look menu.lst of SystemRescueCd but it's not revelant
How to get a dynamic xorg.conf depending on xdriver parameter like SystemRescueCd?
Thanks for your help.
