PXE booting broken in 3.1.0 because NetworkManager [solved]

Post by TiCPU » 14 Dec 2012, 06:36

I needed to boot using the pxebootsrv on 3.1.0 and found out that pxebootsrv depends on NetworkManager to be stopped and that all other services (dhcpd, in.tftpd, thttpd) depend on 'net' which in turn depend on NetworkManager to be started causing the whole pxebootsrv script to hang.

This problem exist in 3 .1.1 too.

It worked for me after removing the line
provide net
from /etc/init.d/NetworkManager

Because netconfig2 provide net also the normal startup work after this change.
(startup tested with backstore).
