How to change the initrd.igz for alter kernel

Postby Hairlocks » 20 May 2011, 11:45

I have a new batch of laptops and the PXE boot process does not work from the lastest release 2.1.1 as the intel network driver is not in the 2.6.35 kernel but it made it into the 2.6.36

the initrd.igz is loaded and the system starts booting but cannot find the network card to download the sysrcd files. I assume becase the kernel in the initrd is the 2.6.35 kernel. How can I change this. The initrd.igz does not seem to be a gzip file, and file only tells me it is data.

Thanks

seems like I was lying, changing the kernel in the PXE config now works.
