Disk error during boot

Post in this forum for problems at boot time, if there was no problem for burning the disc. For example can't find the CD, or strange errors when you press enter at the very first prompt.

Disk error during boot

Post by sjc2010 » 29 Aug 2007, 07:14

I am running an AMD Athlon XP 1500+ trying to boot SysRescCD 0.3.7.
I get to the first menu fine, but cannot type any options into the command line and when i try to boot by pressing enter i receive this error

isolinux: Disk Error 80, AX=4200, drive 9F.

then a message saying to retry boot press any key. When i try this the system is non-responsive. I am using a wireless USB Keyboard could this be the problem?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The problem comes from the CDRom or maybe the bios. Could you burn the disc again on another media ?
