[Bug] GRUB Boot - nvme module missing (4.9.1)

Post in this forum for problems at boot time, if there was no problem for burning the disc. For example can't find the CD, or strange errors when you press enter at the very first prompt.

[Bug] GRUB Boot - nvme module missing (4.9.1)

Postby pottedplant » 03 Jan 2017, 12:12

Hi,

Booting from USB Stick works fine, but booting with grub2 using the following config

Code: Select all

menuentry "systemrescuecd 4.9.1" {
  loopback loop /systemrescuecd/systemrescuecd-x86-4.9.1.iso
  linux (loop)/isolinux/rescue64 isoloop=/systemrescuecd/systemrescuecd-x86-4.9.1.iso setkmap=uk
  initrd (loop)/isolinux/initram.igz
}

fails (busybox shell after not being able to find iso) - it seems that for some reason the nvme module(s) are missing.

Thanks
