Data corruption gparted on a USB-Stick srcd4.5.1beta4

Postby gernot » 07 Feb 2015, 21:01

After shrinking a partition on a USB-stick and creating a second partition the device worked well under linux but XP/Vista dont find the filesystem on the resized partition.

The device worked well before shrinking.

Just made a clean test with the actual gparted live CD.
The same problem.
I reported the problem in the gparted forum.

I compiled gparted with libparted 3.1 and 3.2.
Shrinking with libpared 3.1 work well, libparted 3.2 make the problems with Windows.

Yes, I followed the thread. I could be wrong but my feeling is that the folks at Gparted cannot be bothered. Any chance that SysrescCd will revert to the old libparted version?

In the meantime I'll probably revert to an old version of SysRescCd.
