no more LTS-Kernel?

Post by cschulzejn » 28 May 2011, 20:17

Changes in 2.2.0-beta005 - (2011-05-23):
Updated standard kernels to 2.6.38.5 (rescuecd + rescue64)
As far as I know this kernel is not LTS.
LTS-Kernel were a good thing to rely on.

Unfortunately the most recent LTS kernel is 2.6.35. As 2.6.38 is used in both Ubuntu-11.04 and Fedora-15 I suspect it will be maintained in the coming months so we can rely on it. And I still hope that Greg KH will decide to make 2.6.38 an LTS.
