cleanup backstore

This is not only a problem with actual bata.
Everytime a system is booted using backstore /etc/inittab grows.
Also the "nonm" option is persistent.
I dont know if there other files affected.

Can it be a solution to create "/etc/init.d/cleanbackstore" or is it better to avoid such boot modifcations?

Is it useful to make a "sysrescd-backtore clean filename" ?

It shold run fsck,
Delete whiteoutfiles.
Removes files equal on CD and remove them.
Then check for Files on CD which are newer then files in backstore and remove them (interactive or not ?).
remove var/log
run df

On the other side it would be nice the tool clean also bacstore in use,
