Thanks for having reported these issues.

1) rootpass=xxxx will be fixed in the systemrescuecd-x86-1.6.0-beta024.iso (http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=275555)

2) I can't find any problem with "eth0=ip"
Can you see the following messages when you boot with the "minishell" boot option ?

Code: Select all

Here are the ethernet interfaces found on your system:
* eth0: 01:02:03:04:05:06
netconfig1: found option eth0=192.168.52.2
netconfig1:configure eth0 to 192.168.52.2
netconfig1: ifconfig eth0 192.168.52.2 --> 0
There are two possible sort of problems:
1) the boot option is not considered by the boot script
2) the option is considered but if fails. For instance ifconfig does not "return --> 0" (failure)
the gateway option won't work if the ip is not properly configured so it makes sense.

1) rootpass: Thanks for info.
2) Ip was working after I set nonm (no network damager). That was mentioned in another thread.
