I know this is probably a stupid question, but why are there no torrent downloads available?
I have a blistering super fast download speed of a whole 8Mb/s but when I download from any of the mirrors and such, I'm lucky to see something over a simple T1 speed of 1.54Mbs.

When using torrents, I at least get the full speed that my super awesomely fast ISP (AT&T) gives me and it takes only a few minute to get the iso file.

Please don't hate on me, for looking for torrents. I'm not one of the users in the world that use torrents illegally. I actually use it for what it was meant for. And now that I am using it, I completely understand why it's a GREAT alternative to downloading from 1 simple site.

Seconded. I just downloaded the image at 50KB/second. My Internet connection is capable of at least 3MB/s, or a factor 60 faster.

Bittorrent is perfectly legitimate for stuff like this. Fx Ubuntu, Fedora, and OpenSuse are all available over bittorrent.
