Metalink for current 1.2.2

Postby mbirth » 17 Jul 2009, 16:06

I generated a metalink for the current version:

Code: Select all

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<metalink version="3.0" xmln="http://www.metalinker.org">
    <files>
        <file name="systemrescuecd-x86-1.2.2.iso">

You can use the Linux-tool aria2 as well as the FF extensions FlashGot and DownThemAll and the download managers GetRight and FDM to download the image using multiple sources. Save the code into a file called sysresccd-1.2.2.metalink and then download the iso with your favorite tool.

E.g., with aria2c you would type this:

Code: Select all

aria2c -M sysresccd-1.2.2.metalink

This is blazing fast. :-)

P.S.: François, maybe you can generate these links for the downloads. Basically you just have to replace the version numbers of the links and enter the correct checksums and size (in Bytes). If you'd make this available as a download on the wiki, this would make life a lot easier. :-)
