ipxe

If an update to the SystemRescueCD for SPARC is ever to come forth I could surely appreciate if the developer could figure out if an ipxe binary could be included on the boot menu.

How do I mount a parallel port drive?

I do not find the modules named by the previous posts on sysresccd version 0.2.17 ... How I might go about mounting an IDE drive which is attached to a parallel port with the more recent version? Do I need to modprobe parport_cs? If so, what should I do after that? Thanks for your suggestions.

Re: external USB drive success

Thanks for your post, Geeksmith! A couple of questions if I may - (1) What version of SystemRescueCd are you using? Did you have to lsmod anything (like automount) after systemrescuecd booted but before you did what you posted? (2) Is partimage able to write good image files to the partitions on the...

Assuming that you are using the latest v0.2.17, try this: - at the boot: prompt, type in "srcdmenu" - from menu options, choose SystemRescueCD -> Options -> Boot from USB stick (select with the space bar - a little square appears to the right when you have it selected) - Esc or <- to retur...
