Requesting "partclone.xfs" be added to SRCD

I'd like to request that partclone.xfs be included on srcd. As RHEL7 defaults to xfs, it would be nice to have this option along with the existing "xfsdump" tool.

Would it be possible to get support for fuse-zip added? Thanks!

Re: NTFS partition imaging

As gernot said, it depends.

For me while using lzop compression, I've found that over GB network, it's about 1GB/min and about 2GB/min to an external ESATA drive.

In your case, partclone would only back up the 60GB in use, and it gives status whilst backing up.

Re: LZ4 - Extremely Fast Compression Algorithm

Scratch that. My testing revealed that LZ4 currently isn't any faster than LZOP and the multi-core support is only on the Windows port at the moment.

Re: NTFS partition imaging

I've used the following with great success! 1) Mount /mnt/backup to an external drive/filesystem. 2) Backup "/dev/sda1" to "/mnt/backup": partclone.ntfs –c –d –s /dev/sda1 | lzop -1 | split –b 4096m - /mnt/backup/sda1.img.lzo. 3) Verify the backup: cat /mnt/backup/sda1.img.lzo.* ...

LZ4 - Extremely Fast Compression Algorithm

Can we get LZ4, a very fast lossless compression algorithm, included in the next build sysrcd?

Thanks!

Re: I read the docs...so what is it good for?

This is a case of if you have to ask... If you take the time to study and contemplate the power of having a very usable Linux distro which can be booted from CD or a USB drive, the possibilities are boundless. I carry sysrcd on a microSDHC USB drive that is attached to my access badge. With it I can...

Re: Missing gettext in release SystemRescueCd-x86-3.5.0

The reference to gettext in ecryptfs-mount-private has been fixed in SRCD 3.5.1 by replacing gettext with echo ; thanks! However, references to gettext remains in the following ecryptfs support files: ecryptfs-migrate-home ecryptfs-rewrite-file ecryptfs-setup-private ecryptfs-setup-swap ecryptfs-umo...

Missing gettext in release SystemRescueCd-x86-3.5.0

While using the ecryptfs-mount-private command in the official SystemRescueCd-x86-3.5.0 release, I get the following error:

/usr/bin/ecryptfs-mount-private: line 19: gettext: command not found

The offending line:
