Hi, I've managed to get my Macbook pro to boot. When I type 'ifconfig' there is an entry for the ethernet adapter (eth0) one for the loopback (lo) but the wireless one is missing. I got the system to boot using the disable Kernel-Mode-settings option which I missed in the Grub menu :/

Thank-you for the reply. I'm using a macbook pro 4,1 (2008) and I don't have a sysreq key on the keyboard. I would try the system rescue cd DVD/CD but the DVD drive on this macbook is fried.
